So goes another night of pure donkdom. For the thrid straight night I have positioned my self incredibly well in a FTP tournament with a top10% stack only to go completely unlucky losing every race and dominant hand I play. It's not like I have been a lagtard, I mean these are truly disgusting runs where I have no explaination. I play them EXACTLY as they should be played and I get beat mostly by lesser hands.
Thing that is even better is that most of the opponents are playing garbage, so that makes this so much worse. Some examples: 50/50 last night top 50 stack with KQss on the button folded to me. I 2.75x raise and the BB who barely has me covered calls. Flop QXXccc flops. I bet 2/3, he flats. Turn J, he checks I bet 2/3 he shoves and I am committed. I call and he has 107cc. How can I account for the 1:114 flop and why is this BS always in a hugely critical hand against the one guy that has me covered? I have flopped an overset to be rivered by quads, flopped a set with my opponent calling the reraise on a 3 club board with 2nd pair only to turn his higher set on the turn, 3 and 2 outed way to many times to count.
We are beyond ankle grabbing, we are into full poker sodomy. What's worse is II Aces, a friend, student and investor has seen most all of this. I feel bad he has to witness what is definately my worst run ever.
I need a heater.

Poker 1 ab's Updates and Thoughts
Thanks for checking this out, I hope to reveal the thoughts and plans of poker and life. Unlike a lot of the solid players I pal around with, I am a part time player with a career in Sales & Marketing. That being said, I am one of the most competitive players around.
Could I make poker my source of income? I think it is possible, but with the unknown life of online poker and my need for stability with my wife taking a year off work- I think that being a poker pro is a dream ATM. Knowing I am pretty good at it, but not great also leaves me outside of the thoughts of doing so.
So what else do I do? Well, I have 3 kids of my own and one foster child. My family is extremely important to me, thus me not playing during my kids' waking hours.
One of our foster children we are in the process of adopting. The challenge will be race with him as we will have a lot of challenges with identity as he grows older. We love him to death and I truly believe that is the most important.
We also fostered a child for about 8 month that had major surgery on her skull to alleviate brain growth pressures. I know God put her in our hands for a reason which was to save her life. She had gone 18 months with no one really realizing what her needs were. She spent one hour with us and she is diagnosed with craniosynistosis. The doctors believe within a few more months she would have permanent hearing loss, sight loss and possibly brain damage or death. No one knew until she got to us? She's now has been adopted by a great family and will be living a life that is more normal than it could have been otherwise. Kids are God's blessing (and burden ;) ) to us.
My personal hobbies include tennis, golf, following the Bengals and Reds and spending time with my family.
